Just Hangin'

I did it! I hanged (or hung?) hooks up by the back door for our coats and backpacks, etc. I also put up a thing to hang the iron and ironing board up as well as the broom/mop/swiffer in the laundry room.

This is very empowering for me, because I had to use a drill and I had to use INSERTS. I had to put the drill bit on the drill even! And I only had to call my mom for help about 23 times. But I did it!

And now I know how to use a drill! Can't wait to get those curtains hung (hanged?)!

Next thing you know you'll be patching up drywall! It's good to get a little she-woman power now and then! HA HA! I love the feeling of being able to do things to my home with out having to wait for someone else to get around to it!! YAY! :)

Oh yeah. The English teacher has to answer the hung/hanged question. "Hang" is a very irregular verb. The past participle can be either hung or hanged. The simple past tense can also be either hung or hanged. SO

"I hanged the curtains" is correct, and so is "I hung the curtains."

"I have hanged curtains" is correct, and so is "I have hung the curtains."

As a Southerner, we typically use "hung" for both. And all the rest of y'all can be hanged! :)

Thanks for your comment. Guess I'm not alone in leaving my keys on the tray and tossing them in the garbage!!

I'm so impressed! I am mechanically inept, so I'm in awe of people who manage to do these things!
